Application
Calcium L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, commonly known as L-5-MTHF-Ca, is a nutritional supplement primarily used for the treatment of folate deficiency (low folate levels) and anemia (red blood cell deficiency). Its applications include addressing folate deficiencies caused by improper diet, pregnancy, alcohol abuse, and other medical conditions. L-5-MTHF-Ca is a member of the folate vitamin family (Vitamin B9) and helps in the formation of red blood cells, supports normal cell proliferation and vascular endothelial function, and may reduce the risk of neural tube defects during pregnancy. Additionally, it is involved in DNA synthesis and repair, supporting cellular health and function.
